LEVEL I

The Level I course will provide an introduction to the CGS approach and the specifics of using this approach to serve the 3-6 year old child. The objectives of the course are:

+ To explore the nature of the 3-6 year old child, including developmental and religious characteristics.
+ To facilitate meditation on the biblical and liturgical themes present in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
+ To provide guidelines and assistance to catechists to enable them to set up an atrium for 3-6 year old children, prepare a Catechist's Album, and create atrium materials.
+ To deepen the ability to observe and learn from children, and explore ways to invite parents and congregations to grow this ability as well.​

LEVEL II

​​​The Level II course will continue the exploration of themes begun in the Level I course, and using the CGS approach to serve children ages 6-9.

We do no have a Level 2 course offered in 2026.

​LEVEL III

​The Level III course will continue the exploration of themes begun in the Level I course and continued in the Level II course, and using the CGS approach with the 9-12 year old child.
We do no have a Level 3 course offered in 2026.

​2023 Level I Year Round 
​2023 Level I Part 1 Summer Intensive 
This course was offered on Monday, July 24 through Saturday, July 29 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Gig Harbor, WA.​
​2022-2023 Level III Part 1 Year Round 
This course began in August 2022.  It consisted of 17 full-day sessions:  August 3-6, 2022; November 10-13, 2022; February 16-19, 2023 and July 12-16, 2023.
